This triptych is painted with acrylic on paper.  The paper is mounted on foam board, but is unframed.

Shakespeare has his "Ages of Man" soliloquy and I have my Jacob's Ladder triptych. The three paintings were taped up and painted in a staggered arrangement in order to be more truly mimetic with my own rather crooked path, it's sections express in color and gestural lines the phases of my life up to the point I became a radiating pointsource. The structure is suggestive of a Jacob’s Ladder, the modern interpretation of which is a device that produces arcs of electricity, but is also a biblical reference to the manifestation of a heavenly mechanism. This is one of my most successful efforts using acrylics on paper, and is easily hung as three separate works or a single whole.
